Mexico, Mar 12 (Prensa Latina) The Historic Center Festival of Mexico City, that in this edition will be attended by representatives from 22 countries, will begin today at the Fine Arts Museum of this capital.
The program of the event, which will run until March 23, includes more than 200 activities that will be presented in squares, streets, museums, and other facilities located in the iconic town Mexico City.
In the opening of the festival, it will be held a concert by the Georgian virtuous pianist Alexander Toradze, accompanied by the National Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Carlos Miguel Prieto.
Among the shows of the event, which celebrates 30 years, the presentation of Ji-Hae Park, renowned Korean violinist, also stands out.
Likewise, the world premiere in Spanish of the play White Rabbit Red Rabbit, from the Iranian writer Nassim will take place.
The company Akram Kahn, one of the most acclaimed choreographers nowadays, will also perform.
Another very much expected show will be headed by Miguel Poveda, a flamenco singer nominated to the Latin Grammy twice.
The interpretations of the Macedonian trumpeter Dzambo Agusev and the band "Gitana del Momento", among others, also stand out.
The celebration also includes films, the launch of books, and exhibitions.
